Can I just add that Indie/Pop does not exist. Indie means independent and pop means popular - thus doing something that is deliberately calculated to be independent of the popular trend disqualifies you from being a pop band and equally playing songs designed to appeal to the mainstream disqualifies you from being indie.

Months ago while sitting in a restaurant next to two gentleman having a conversation about Al Gore and how great he was this and that I asked a very simple question that led to rage. Are Greenland's days already numbered? And, if so, can anything be done to avert the looming disaster posed by a massive sea level rise? The simple answer is that though Greenland's fate is not yet set into stone (at least when it comes to a specific date), the present melting trends do not bode well.

Have you ever been in the cinema when the Thai national anthem plays and you’ve seen someone not stand up? I have, a couple of times — and it was Thai people, not foreigners. I’ve also seen people not stop in the street or at the BTS station when the anthem has played. There are some things that we’re not supposed to talk about, but notthenation.com did a good job of satirizing the whole situation.
